Campus Ministry
LSU Campus Ministry at University Presbyterian Church
A Welcoming Home for LSU Tigers
Located on the edge of Louisiana State University’s vibrant campus in Baton Rouge (Geaux Tigers!), University Presbyterian Church (UPC) is just a short walk from the parade grounds, academic buildings, and dormitories. As a proud neighbor to LSU, UPC is committed to being a spiritual home where all students—undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral—are warmly welcomed, nurtured, encouraged, and challenged to grow in faith, community, and purpose. Whether you’re new to campus, exploring faith, or seeking a supportive community, UPC is here to walk alongside you during your LSU journey.
As a Recognized Student Organization (RSO) at LSU, UPC maintains a strong connection between our church and the university, fostering a bridge between campus life and spiritual growth. Our Campus Ministry is designed to meet the unique needs of students, offering a space to connect, reflect, and engage in meaningful ways.
Campus Ministry at UPC
Our Campus Ministry is tailored to support LSU students through a variety of programs and opportunities:
-
College Connector Program: Through this initiative, we pair students with a caring UPC member who provides a “home away from home.” Your College Connector can offer practical support like laundry access, home-cooked meals, or pet playtime, as well as companionship for dinners, local events, or simply hanging out. It’s a great way to feel supported and connected while at LSU.
-
Worship Services: Join us for inspiring worship on Sundays at 11:00 a.m. (fall and spring) or 10:00 a.m. (summer), in person or via our Facebook live stream. Our services feature uplifting music led by our Adult Choir or soloists, thoughtful sermons, and a welcoming atmosphere for students of all backgrounds.
-
College Bible Study and Fellowship: Participate in student-focused Bible studies and social events designed to build community and explore faith in a relaxed, inclusive setting. These gatherings address topics relevant to student life, such as purpose, relationships, and balancing academics with personal growth. Check our Campus Ministry page for upcoming events.
-
Service and Outreach: Live out your faith through service opportunities, such as volunteering with local organizations like the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank or participating in UPC’s mission projects. Students can also join efforts with Presbyterian Disaster Assistance for disaster relief. Learn more on our Mission and Peacemaking page.
-
Music and Arts: Passionate about music? LSU students are invited to join our Adult Choir, which rehearses Wednesdays from 7:00–8:30 p.m. in the Choir Room, or contribute as soloists or instrumentalists during worship. Visit our Music Ministry page for details.

-
Make a Difference: Engage in service and advocacy that reflect Christian values of compassion and justice.
