Ukirk Campus Ministry

University Presbyterian Church is on the edge of the campus for Louisiana State University (Go Tigers!). We are a short walk from the parade grounds and many academic buildings and dormitories. UPC seeks to be a place for all students to be welcomed, nurtured, encouraged, and challenged.

Students at LSU (undergrad, graduate, or doctorate) are encouraged to be a part of our campus ministry organization, Ukirk. “Kirk” is the Scottish word for “church” and “U” stands for “university.” Ukirk functions as a faith community individually, yet is always connected to UPC. Ukirk Presbyterian Campus Ministry is also a Recognized Student Organization on campus, which helps us maintain a link between church community and campus.

Currently our programming has been in collaboration with several other campus ministries through a program called Common Table.  Check out our facebook page for more information.

We hope you will consider connecting with Ukirk in some way. Email Mike Watson if you are interested or know someone who might be.

Students at LSU are always welcome to Get Involved in our many other opportunities for adults at UPC.
