UPC Field Trip to Science Cafe

The University Outreach Committee is organizing a field trip to a special Science Café event: Your Health in 3D. Director of the LSU Medical Physics Program, Wayne Newhauser, and his students are using the latest technology to detect and treat cancer and will share their views of the way in which 3D imaging is changing the health industry. The event is free to the public and scheduled for 25 September 2018, 5:00–7:00 p.m. at the Varsity Theater. Doors open at 5 p.m. for networking and light refreshments; the talk will start at 6 p.m. If you are interested in attending, please contact Stu Irvine at sirvine@lsu.edu or (225) 336-9023.  The group will gather at church at 5:15 p.m. and walk to the Varsity Theater.
